The boys soccer team took a tough loss against Vianney on Oct 1. The game ended in a score of 4-1, with the one point being scored by junior Jake Curran.
“It felt good to score but it didn’t really mean anything with 10 minutes left in the game,” Curran said.
Senior Jack Loeffelman said this game gives an insight as to what defensive strategies need to change.
“Similar to past games, we simply can’t let up 4 goals a game or we won’t be able to go anywhere. Our main goal is that we are striving to work on our defensive depth to concede less,” Loeffelman said.
Curran felt the biggest takeaway against Vianney was strategies on how to move the ball away from the opponents better.
“We realized we need to move the ball better and work on our attack and get the ball out wide,” Curran said.
The Falcons soccer team has currently won six games and lost 11.
