As finals week begian, students dealt with heightened stress levels and the challenge of managing their time effectively. The pressure to perform well in exams takes a toll on students’ daily routines and mental health.
Junior Moriah Hayibor said the most challenging part of finals is motivation and having a good sleep schedule.
“[The hardest thing is] not falling asleep when I’m trying to study and just staying motivated,” Hayibor said.
Sophomore Demetruis Booker says he’s not concerned for finals.
“It’s not really challenging for me because I’m locked in all the time,” Booker said.
Hayibor says active recall is the best study method.
“Writing everything I know and watching videos works the best,” Hayibor said.
Junior Ayden Guthrie aid the hardest part about finals is staying focused and managing time
“The consistency of studying and being on time with your assignments. It’s also hard to stay motivated,” Guthrie said.
Using a calendar could help manage your time better, Guthrie said that he uses Google Calendar to stay organized.
“I use Google Calendar and make sure everything is where it’s supposed to be so I can visually see it,” Guthrie said.
Doing assigned work in class helps manage a school and social life balance.
“Doing my work in class gives me time to do other things,” Booker said
