During the 2025 Gans Creek Classic, the boys varsity cross country team placed 21st out of 44 teams in the Varsity Boys Blue division race on Sept. 27. The event was hosted by the University of Missouri (Mizzou) on the Gans Creek Cross Country Course, and lasted three days during Mizzou’s homecoming weekend.
Placing first on his team and 40th overall, junior Noah Hardee finished the race with a new all-time personal record (PR) of 17:20.40.
“I’m not gonna lie, it felt really good. It was like a 42 second PR, and I haven’t had one like that this season. I knew I had the ability to, I just hadn’t hit it yet,” Hardee said.
Hardee was one of many athletes on the team to set new individual best times for themselves in the race. Freshman Will Zobrist also completed the race with a personal best time of 19:43.60. Being his first time running the college course, he said he was pleased to improve his time.
“I liked [Gans Creek] because it was really nice and it was cool that it was Mizzou’s college course. It felt really good [to] PR on a course that I really liked,” Zobrist said.
