The boys soccer team competed against Summit Christian Academy on Nov. 22 for the Class 3 third place title in state at soccer park. The Falcons won 6-0 with goals from sophomore Quinn Laroque, juniors Blayne Douglass and Harper Edwards, as well as seniors Chase Parmer and AJ Tuohy, and sophomore Grant Dinges.
Senior Kaden Dinges said going into the game his team knew they had to perform their best and that the environment was going to be good.
“We knew we had to play our best if we wanted to beat them and the atmosphere was going to be amazing,” Dinges said.
Edwards said that a key moment that inspired the team to win third place was the bus ride home from the final four game. The team competed against Fort Zumwalt East and fell 2-0 on Nov. 21.
“Just hearing the coaches say we had another chance to go out and win our last ever game for our giant group of seniors,” Edwards said.
