Watching her shot, senior Tallia Brown plays her ninth hole at the Girls Golf Conference, competing in a group against three other athletes. On Oct. 6, Summit came in 4th overall in the Yellow Suburban Conference Tournament which took place at Crescent Farms Golf Club course. Brown said that even though her performance wasn’t her best in her opinion, she remains optimistic about her team's outlook for districts this season, given their familiarity with the layout of the course.
“I didn’t have the best day but I mean it’s ok it happens, [however] the rest of my team did really good. For Conference we just practiced over the course of the week. Conference was at our home course so it was nice because we had practiced there already. We played the course a few times before Conference. Conference is basically kind of just a pre-round before districts, it’s a bigger [event] than districts [even though] districts are more important because that's how we get to go to state,” Brown said.
