The Falcons went into the game with the mentality to up their strategy. Senior Riley Vancardo said they adjusted their gameplay by increasing their intensity.

“In general the team just came ready to play. The intensity was high from the beginning and everyone was battling hard the whole game,” VanCardo said. “We also had a stronger drive to attack, which allowed us to maintain our play longer.”

The game remained scoreless until halftime, where VanCardo said the team reconvened to play off the energy of each other.

“Our emotions were so high because of the senior night festivities, so I was ready to go back in and win,” VanCardo

VanCardo accumulated another assist for a second goal scored by senior Chloe Ceballos. The Statesmen were not able to put themselves on the scoreboard until the last seconds, solidifying the win. Sophomore Katie Jundt credits the win to their chemistry.
