Wrestling

The girls wrestling team made program history by placing 6th at the Class 1 State Championship.  They had three state qualifiers: Jaylah Walker, Chairie Perks, and Madeline Haynes with two State medalists; sophomore Charie Perks (the program’s first state medalist), who placed 6th at 115 lb weight class, and freshman Madeline Haynes (the program’s first state finalist), who placed 2nd at 130 lb weight class. Boys wrestling finished 10th at the Class 3 State Championship, with five qualifiers (seniors Henry Armstrong, Camden Pye and Devin Shipp, juniors Caelin Stegmann and  John Berry, and sophomore Minko Brown.) Pye became a 2x state medalist, placing 6th at the meet.

 

 

 

Swim

Girls Swim and Dive took 25th place at the Class 1 State Championship. Senior Abby Wampler took on the 200 IM and the 100 Breast, finishing 4th and 9th. The 400 free relay (that consisted of Lily Maginn, Jenny Reiter, Sarah Lauck, and Abby Wampler), finished 16th with a time of 3:52.52. Click on the image to read the story.

Hockey

Senior Ryan Knop brings the puck up the ice. The Falcons lost 2-4 against SLUH on Dec. 3.

The Falcons finished with a  record of 5-9-6. In the postseason, the team went on to win 3-2 against Edwardsville, leading them to advance into quarterfinals. Winning 6-3 against Lindbergh, they went on to advance into the semifinals, playing Lafayette where they lost all three games.

Basketball

Girls basketball finished the regular season with a record of 10-16. The team did not advance to the second round of districts, getting knocked out by the Mehlville Panthers. Additionally, senior Avery Vincent was named to the Class 5 District 2 All District Team, she made 43 three’s this season. Boys basketball finished with a record of 9-15 in their regular season. The Falcons then went into the postseason playing St. Mary’s in the first round of districts; they lost 66-57. Also, Dominic Nenninger was named 1st Team All-Suburban Confrence, Shane Conner was named 2nd Team All-Suburban Confrence
