Q: How long have you been playing volleyball?
A: “Nine years.”
Q: Do you plan on continuing playing volleyball post high school?
A: “Yes. I will continue to play at Maryville [University].”
Q: What do you think contributed to the team’s post-season success?
A: “We were all playing really well together, everyone was contributing to the team. I think that’s what allowed us to break the record of the most season wins and have a good season.”
Q: How did you all prepare for districts?
A: “We practiced a lot, and we had a lot of team bonding. We were all having talks with each other, trying to get us all prepared for the district games.”
Q: Playing against St. Pius X, the reigning state champions, did you all shift anything mentally?
A: “We were trying to go into the game [positively]. We had a talk before the game, and we [were] getting us all hyped up.”
Q: What does it mean to you to find post-season success as a senior?
A: Since our season was super successful, I thought that was a really good way to end my career at Summit for volleyball.”
Q: How do you prepare for a big game?
A: “Usually, I’ll listen to some hype up music, and we’ll have a warmup of some sort.”
Q: Describe the team’s culture, and how it impacted your season.
A: We definitely got along really well. There was no drama between us all, we could all hang out together. I think that’s what helped us the most during our season.”
