On Nov. 17, fire alarms were set off due to a sprinkler being set off, flooding the wrestling room. Junior Clayton Macy said that the flood made it harder for the team, but they were able to adjust.
“It has definitely given our team a disadvantage [for] the season [because it caused] a slow start [for] the season, but we did a good job adapting,” Macy said.
Senior Ayden Guthrie said that the team found alternatives and was persistent despite the challenges.
“Our team adjusted quickly [after the flood]. We brought out old duel mats, reorganized our practice setup, and kept our intensity the same. It showed how well we can adapt and persevere as a team,” Guthrie said.
