Over winter break on Dec. 29, senior Oliver Puljic reached a milestone in his basketball career by hitting 1000 points. Puljic achieved this record during the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Coaches vs Cancer Holiday Tournament game against Hickman High School at Maryville University.
During the game, Puljic played in two different positions: center and power forward. Puljic has been playing basketball since kindergarten and he said that 1000 points is a goal that he has been working towards.
“Personally [hitting 1000 points] means a lot because a bunch of hard work went into it over these past few years, and it was always my goal to hit 1000 points, so it was really cool,” Puljic said.
As of now, Puljic is undecided on where he wants to continue his basketball career.
