Falcons defeat the Tigers

Looking toward the basket, senior Massimo Egidi (2) dribbles down the court. Egidi had 26 points against the Oakville Tigers on Jan. 6, with the Falcons winning the game 83-52. Head Coach Wesley Voyles said that the team got ready for this game by focusing on points closer to the basket. “To prepare for this game, we worked really hard on getting paint touches on offense. Oakville is a pretty athletic team who can rebound pretty well so we made sure to focus heavily on defensive rebounding to not give up extra possessions,” Voyles said. Looking to the rest of the season, Voyles said that the team needs to keep up their intensity while playing. “Going forward, we still have a long way to go. We need to do a better job of playing more consistently with our effort and execution. Oakville’s game was a great step in the right direction, we must just keep trying to replicate it time and time again,” Voyles said. (Emery Gregston)
