Q: What motivated you to earn a full scholarship at Washington University in Saint Louis?
A: “My dad from a young age always told me he wasn’t going to pay for college, so I’ve always been stressed. I’ve had gray hairs popping out since the third grade. I knew I had to lock in from an early age. Once I found out about Questbridge, which is the scholarship where I got my full ride through, I pushed through junior year since it was really hard for me.”
Q: What challenges did you face along the way and how did you overcome them?
A: “During junior year my mom passed away, it was really sad. It motivated me to do better and to make her proud, because she always wanted to see me graduate. It pushed me to be a better person.”
Q: What advice would you give to other students or underclassmen?
A: “I would say to just keep being your best self and do what needs to be done for yourself. I wish I knew when to say ‘no’ and to not stress yourself out to the point of exhaustion.”
