Dropping into a split, junior Amelia Otto points her sabre in the air. Following the showcase, winter guard attended the MCCGA competition at Liberty High School on Jan. 31, placing fourth after moving to a higher division than they competed in last year.

Performing at the winter guard showcase, sophomore Caroline Kahn dances in Summit’s main gym. The performance was preceded by a dinner for winter guard members, families, and friends.

Holding up her rifle, Otto dances in this year’s winter guard show, entitled “Who Do I Call Now?” The show explores the complex emotions of a breakup, including moments with emotional acting from the members of the guard.
